Flow: AI implementation and operating model consulting

Strategy without execution is just conversation, and Flow is our AI implementation consulting service built to close that gap: we take the highest-priority opportunity from your roadmap and turn it into a working AI capability, with governance, measurement and an operating model designed from day one.

What we do

01

We select the initiative with the strongest combination of business impact, data readiness and delivery feasibility, and we design the target operating model for the capability: who owns it, how it is governed and how success is measured. We then build it as a real, deployable tool with appropriate controls (not a proof of concept that never leaves the lab).

What you get

02

You get a working AI capability deployed in your business and an operating model defining ownership, governance and escalation, supported by a measurement framework with baseline metrics and targets. We hand over technical documentation and training materials, and we leave you with a clear path to scaling the capability across additional use cases.

Who it is for

03

Organisations that have completed a discovery sprint (Breathe or equivalent) and have a prioritised AI opportunity ready to build. Also suited to businesses that have stalled between strategy and execution, where workshops happened, slide decks were produced but the initiative is sitting in a backlog.

How it works

04

We embed alongside your team, working iteratively to design, build and validate the capability. Governance is built in from day one, not bolted on afterwards. We stay until the capability is live, measured and handed over with confidence. The timeline depends on scope and on the readiness of your data, integrations and approval routes, and we tell you which of those will stretch it before we start. Get in touch and we will give you a straight estimate.

  1. Breathe

Find your starting point Typically 5 to 10 working days

A focused sprint that maps your capabilities, scores AI opportunities and builds a three-year total cost of ownership view, so you know exactly where AI fits, what to do first and what it will cost.

  2. Grow

Senior AI leadership, on your terms Ongoing, flexible

Ongoing fractional Chief AI Officer support, embedded in your business 1-3 days a week and covering strategy, governance, vendor oversight, team mentoring and board-level reporting, without a full-time hire.

Questions 07

Questions buyers ask us

  • How long does an AI pilot take to deliver?

Flow typically runs 4 to 8 weeks from selection to a working, deployable capability, with the timeline depending on scope.

  • Do we need to have done Breathe first?

No, though it helps. Flow suits organisations with a prioritised AI opportunity ready to build, whether that came from Breathe or from your own discovery work.

  • What makes this different from a proof of concept?

We build a real, deployable tool with governance, measurement and an operating model designed in from day one, and we stay until it is live, measured and handed over.

  • How is it priced?

Flow is scoped and estimated before we start, based on the capability being built, and we give you a straight estimate rather than an open-ended day rate.

Every engagement is led by Dan Simms, our founder, a technology leader with 30 years in regulated sectors including CTO and CIO roles, and the person you meet is the person who does the work.
